House Budget Amendment Co-sponsors

The Governor's Budget will go to the House Ways & Means Committee, where they will make changes that they deem important.

It is important that we let them know how important it is that RSD transportation be funded at 100% and Circuit Breaker be funded at the full 75% as promised.

WRITE

We've made it easy to do so with form letters that can be filled out by parents, teachers, students, and citizens of towns that reside in regional school districts. The letter clearly outline these two priorities.

Simply print, fill out, and send to as many members of House Ways & Means as you can OR send to the chair, vice chair, and assistant vice chair.

E-MAIL

E-mail is another efffective way to communicate with the members of the House Ways & Means Committee.

Keep it simple. Don't forget to put your name and address at the bottom. Here is some sample text for an e-mail...

"Regional school districts have unique funding challenges and districts and towns are forced to make cuts due to unfunded mandates. Please support ALL of the many students who attend regional school districts in Massachusetts and the citizens in the towns within them in the FY20 budget by

1. Fully funding regional school district transportation at 100% (7035-2006), and

2. Fully funding Circuit Breaker reimbursement for special education at 75% (7061-0012).

These two things would benefit all regional school districts and relieve some of the burden put onto the sending towns.

Thank you for your attention to this matter,"

The e-mail address for ALL of the members of the House Ways & Means Committee can be found in the document below.
